Research
As part of the SCCM initiative, Addressing Barriers to Engaging Patient and Caregivers Experiencing Critical Illness to Build Capacity for Patient-Centered Outcomes Research, group concept mapping was used to elicit barriers and strategies from four groups of ICU patients and family members, as well as ICU clinicians and researchers. The initiative was funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). Speakers will review the results and highlight implications for ICU clinicians and researchers, including an overview of a toolkit outlining strategies for engaging patients and family members in ICU-related research.
