Building on the thought leader session, Why the 4Ms Approach to Critical Care Improves Quality: Lessons From the Age-Friendly Health Systems Movement, this session will provide practical tips for how to incorporate each of the 4Ms (what matters most, medications, mentation, and mobility) into clinical practice to arm attendees with actionable strategies to create an age-friendly ICU.

Review techniques for minimizing inappropriate medications to optimize mentation and mobility
Highlight optimal means by which to identify cognitive impairment and dementia in survivors of critical illness
