The host response to neurocritical illness has traditionally been determined to be variable - but is the "childrens' brains 'recover' more quickly or better ..even true"? What is known and what is anecdote or even rumor/false? In this session, we will discuss evidence from the data surrounding stroke, TBI, and encephalopathy/altered mental status - to discuss the approaches pediatric providers should integrate when managing acute neurologic injury.
