Amidst the recently released Phoenix Criteria for sepsis, this session will explore the age dependent phenotypic presentations of sepsis and septic shock in neonates, toddlers, school age children and adolescents through the lens of immunological profiling and inflammatory response signals throughout development. A basic science approach and detail of mechanistics is necessary to formulate a precision based treatment strategy.
