Fluid removal is never an emergency – unless you allow it to be! In this session, a proactive, physiology driven approach to both fluid balance management and acid-base management will be discussed – and then put into the context of AKI, with or without RRT. Case examples - as they change over time with management - will be used to illustrate multiple methodologies possible to adjust acid-base balance.
