The topic will review antimicrobial susceptibility testing, interpretation of MICs, and how antibiotic breakpoints are determined for each bug-drug combination. How the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles come into play when selecting antibiotics and dosing will also be briefly discussed.
