Kristen Rahall MSN, AGACNP-BC, CRNP is a board-certified nurse practitioner with specialized expertise in critical care and a strong focus on point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), currently practicing in Critical Care Medicine at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. She received her undergraduate Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Gannon University and her Masters of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University.
As a passionate advocate for the role of advanced practice providers in critical care, Kristen is dedicated to promoting the integration of POCUS into everyday practice to enhance patient outcomes and improve diagnostic accuracy. Over the last 5 years, she has helped to grow VA Pittsburgh's Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) program. She currently acts as a co-instructor and preceptor for the POCUS preceptorship, a year long educational training program which aims to train and educate critical care nurse practitioners, attending physicians, and fellows at VA Pittsburgh in Point of Care Ultrasound and its integration into critical care medicine. Her other clinical interests include post cardiac arrest management in the veteran population and early mobility for critical care patients. Her mission is to advance patient care through interdisciplinary collaboration, innovative technology, and the empowerment of advanced practice providers in the ICU.
