Dr. Ranjit Deshpande is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Yale School of Medicine, where he also serves as Vice Chair of Finance and Strategy. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins. With expertise in perioperative medicine and critical care, Dr. Deshpande has been instrumental in advancing point-of-care ultrasound and developing perioperative pathways, particularly for liver transplants.
Dr. Deshpande earned his MBA from the Yale School of Management, bringing a strategic and financial perspective to his critical care and anesthesiology leadership. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led his department’s critical care response, showcasing his ability to manage complex, high-stakes challenges.
