Mark Hamill, MD, FACS, FCCM, MAMSE is a Trauma Surgeon, Surgical Intensivist and Acute Care Surgeon as well as a Professor or Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He helps support a robust program in surgical, trauma and critical care education and is a co-editor for the current edition of the SCCM Fundamental Critical Care Support program. He has also contributed to the FCCS Surgical Course content during its development. He is the immediste past chair of the Fundemental Crtical Care Support Program Committee as well as the Fundamentals Leadership Committee. He has a special interest in the multiprofessional education and has research interests in education outcomes, trauma and critical care outcomes and firearms injuries. He is a faculty inductee of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and in 2024 he was inducted as a Member of the American College of Surgeons Academy of Master Surgeon Educators.
