Carrie Sims, MD, PhD is the Olga Jonasson Professor of Surgery and Chief of Trauma, Critical Care and Burn at the Ohio State University. She received her surgical training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and her trauma/critical fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania where she also received a PhD in biochemistry. Her reserach interestes includen novel resuscitative strategies, mitochondrial dysfunction in shock states, and endocrionpathies of critical illness.
