Dr. Keric is the Chief and Trauma Medical Director for the Division of Trauma, Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix (UACOM-P). Her clinical practice is at Banner-University Medical Center in Phoenix (BUMC-P).
In her current role, she has initiated an industry sponsored research study, received accreditation for an inaugural surgical critical care fellowship and successfully recruited new faculty and supporting staff for the Division.
Dr. Keric has given multiple national talks on emergent ventral hernia management and has recently published in the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery on blunt hepatic injury and completed a book chapter in Surgical Clinics of North America on abdominal surgical emergencies.
Dr. Keric supports and holds leadership positions in surgical education at a national level. She is the current Chair for the Surgery Section Education Committee for the Society of Critical Care Medicine. She serves on education committees for the American College of Surgeons (ACS), Association for Surgical Education (ASE)and the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST).
Dr. Keric has won numerous awards for teaching, innovation, and leadership. She has received an Executive MBA from Brandeis University and completed Banner’s Advanced Leadership Program in 2024.
Dr. Keric attended medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and completed general surgery residency at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple. She obtained fellowship training in Trauma and Critical Care at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland.
