Andrew W. Kiragu, MD, FAAP, FCCM, Children's Minnesota. Dr. Kiragu is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota and the Vice-Chief of Staff at Children’s Minnesota. He is an Associate of the Children’s Respiratory and Critical Care Specialist’s group and provides pediatric critical care at Children’s Minnesota, Gillette Children’s Hospital and Hennepin Healthcare all in the Twin Cities. He is a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics. As a pediatric intensivist, Dr. Kiragu cares for critically ill and injured children and has expertise in neurotrauma and neurocritical care. He is also engaged in injury prevention efforts statewide and nationally and serves on the boards of Safe Kids Minnesota, the Midwest Injury Prevention Alliance and is on the Executive Committee of the AAP’s Council of Injury, Violence and Poison Prevention. Dr. Kiragu is passionate advocate for children and is a Past President of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
