Allison J. Tompeck, MD, FACS is a clinical assistant professor in the division of surgical critical care, trauma and acute care surgery at University of Arizona, Phoenix Campus. After graduating from PinnacleHealth General Surgery Residency, she moved to Dallas for surgical critical care fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. In 2017, she joined Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix and shortly thereafter accepted her current position as Medical Director of the Trauma Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Over the last 6 years, Dr. Tompeck joined the SCCM surgery section patient safety commitee and currently serves as the chair of the surgery section membership committee. In this role, she hopes to engage SCCM members, foster collaboration between SCCM sections and across societies, and support section members. Dr. Tompeck helpd open the first Donor Care Center at BUMC-P, a unit dedicated to honor the gift of life, and is currently the medical director. Above all, Dr. Tompeck's passion is creating a cohesive muliti-disciplinary culture in the ICU that focuses on innovation, evidenced based data driven practice, patient satefy and team wellbeing. To that end, Dr. Tompeck is thrilled to attend the 2025 Critical Care Congress.
