Carolyn La Vita, MHA, RRT, RRT-ACCS, RRT-NPS is the Executive Director for Respiratory Care at Massachsetts General Hospital in Boston. She received her bachelors degree in cardiopulmonary care sciences from Georgia State University in 2003 and her masters degree in healthcare administration from Colorado State University in 2019. For over 20 years, Carolyn has worked at a large urban academic medical center with a focus on critical care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. She has been an ECMO specialist for the majority of that time. As the executive director, Carolyn has been involved in development of many RT driven protocols and guidelines, with a focus on evidence-based medicine, and care coordination across the MGB healthcare system.
