Marie Pavini MD, FCCM is a critical care physician innovator and an assistant professor of research at the University of Vermont College of Medicine as well as Founder of HDmedical Cognitive and Mobility Solutions. Dr. Pavini is an NIH reviewer and Principle Investigator focused on delirium and PICS prevention, safe patient restraint alternatives, sedation minimization, and early mobilization. She leads research and development of tools for agitation detection, virtual reality staff empathy education, and patient humanization for both adults and pediatrics. Dr. Pavini also provides consultative services to align hospital administrations and leadership, committees, departments, bedside and ancillary staff to improve outcomes targeted by her research.
