Dr. Mohammed (Mo) Shaik, MD, PhD is a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellow at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh with a passion for integrating advanced data science, machine learning, and clinical decision support systems into pediatric critical care. His current research focuses on leveraging high-frequency physiological data to anticipate neurological deterioration in pediatric traumatic brain injury (TBI), aiming to enhance ICP-directed therapies and improve patient outcomes. Dr. Shaik is dedicated to developing real-time analytics solutions for the ICU, leveraging AI-driven predictive modeling to extract actionable insights from continuously monitored patient data. His work focuses on optimizing ventilator management, detecting patterns in physiological signals, and streamlining ICU workflows. Beyond research, he is actively building software and hardware infrastructure to enhance data acquisition, storage, and integration across ICU devices and EMRs.
