Matthew Kirschen, MD PhD is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, Pediatrics, and Neurology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is the Associate Director of Pediatric Neurocritical Care at CHOP. His research is focused on detecting and preventing brain injury in critically ill children, predicting recovery in children after severe acute brain injury, and the accurate diagnosis of death by neurologic criteria.
