Gayathri Prabhakar is a pediatric critical care fellow with a background in clinical research, medical education, and simulation training. She completed her medical degree at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont, followed by a pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is currently a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellow at Children’s National Hospital.
Dr. Prabhakar’s research focuses on critical asthma management, gender disparities in academic medicine, and simulation-based education. She is also dedicated to advancing medical education. She has developed simulation curricula for pediatric residents and fellows and has played a role in interprofessional education initiatives.Outside of medicine, she is passionate about mentorship, global health education, and improving patient outcomes in pediatric critical care settings.
