Maria Pliakas, MD is a third year critical care medicine fellow at the University of Michigan. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Evolutionary Anthropology with a minor in Modern Greek. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School. Her research interests include understanding practice variation, implementation of evidence based practices, and quality improvement. Her clinical interests include pediatric acute liver failure and liver transplantation.
