Dr. Aadhyaa Shenoy is a PGY 2 Internal Medicine Resident who serves as a Resident Leader and a House Staff Council Resident representative of the GME Committee at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton, PA. She completed her Bachelor's in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Florida in Tampa, FL, before heading to medical school at St. George's University in Grenada.
Her passion for Critical Care Medicine developed as a medical student when she spent 6 weeks in an ER in Brooklyn treating high acuity patients in a low socio-economic region which was further charged when she began residency in northeastern PA an equally underserved area. She will be applying for a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship in the upcoming match to fulfill her passion for providing high-quality ICU care in underserved areas.
She will be traveling to Orlando to present two interesting cases she encountered as part of her ICU training in her first year of residency. Both cases were difficult patient cases where she fell in love with the organized chaos and the ingenious thought processes that Critical Care has to offer when it comes to the management of illnesses rarely encountered.
When not in the hospital, Dr. Shenoy enjoys teaching, hiking, and visiting vineyards that beautiful northeastern PA has to offer.
