Rita M Gayed is a critical care pharmacist in the medical ICU at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center. Dr Gayed obtained her doctor of pharmacy degree at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida, followed by completing her PGY1 pharmacy practice residency and PGY-2 critical care pharmacy residency at Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA. Prior to her current position, Dr Gayed served as the burn critical care pharmacist at Grady Health System for 10 years. In her current role, Dr Gayed provides care to medically complex critically ill adults, with a large geriatric population at ORMC. Clinical interests include sepsis and septic shock, multi-drug resistant organism and fungal infections, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in the critically ill and renal dysfunction and renal replacement in the critically ill.
