Alex Varasteh MD is a fourth-year Emergency Medicine resident at Washington University in St. Louis. He is from California and got a BS in Biology from the University of California, Irvine before attending medical school at the Frank H. Netter SOM in Connecticut. Prior to residency, he participated in emergency ultrasound research at both Quinnipiac University and Yale University, and he has continued ultrasound investigations at Washington University. His research goal is to improve care during the resuscitation of critically ill patients using point of care ultrasound.
