Allison Boyd, PharmD, BCCCP is a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist at Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis, IN. A graduate of Butler University, she completed her PGY1 and PGY2 residency in Critical Care at Eskenazi Health and maintains Board Certification in Critical Care Pharmacy. She serves as an Affiliate Faculty Member at both Butler University and Purdue University. Dr. Boyd has served as the Chair of the Pharmacy Special Interest Group and selected member of the Education Committee and Membership Advisory Committee within the American Burn Association (ABA). She won the ABA Clinical Research Paper Award in both 2023 and 2024. She has authored several peer-reviewed publications describing the pharmacologic management of burn and critically ill patients, and recently served as the site Primary Investigator for the ongoing OPTIM study through the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology Section through SCCM. Her areas of interest include pain management, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic alterations in critically ill burn patients, and advancing the role of the clinical pharmacist in the burn unit.
