Vladyslav Dieiev, MD, MSc is an intensivist at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Advocate Health, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his medical degree and master of science with honors at Dnipro State Medical University in Ukraine, followed by residency and a fellowship in critical care medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Dieiev is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and serves as the Associate Program Director for the Aurora Critical Care Fellowship.
His research focuses on point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), with a primary emphasis on resuscitative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) in medical and cardiac ICUs. He investigates its role in guiding resuscitation efforts and explores its extracardiac applications in critically ill patients. Dr. Dieiev also leads initiatives integrating POCUS into resource-limited healthcare systems, particularly in Ukraine.
In addition to his research, Dr. Dieiev co-founded Help Ukrainian Hospitals, Inc., an organization committed to improving healthcare in Ukraine through education, training, and access to diagnostic tools.
