Prerna Ladha, MBBS, FACS is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and faculty in the Division of Trauma, Critical Care, Burns, and Acute Care Surgery at MetroHealth Medical Center, a Level I adult and Level II pediatric trauma center in Cleveland, OH.
She was born in New Jersey and raised in India, where she earned her medical degree at Kasturba Medical College in Karnataka. She pursued the rest of her training in United States: a residency in General Surgery at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, and a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at UMDNJ- New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ.
She is the Pediatric Trauma Medical Director at MetroHealth Medical Center and serves on multiple national committees. She is a mentor to preliminary General Surgery residents, using her experience as an international medical graduate to guide others. Her research interests include volume resuscitation, critical care ultrasound, and pediatric trauma.
