Amy Hope Jones Wolfe, MD, MEd is an Attending Physician in the Division of Critical Care Medicine at Children’s National Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is also the Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship program. Her research interests are focused on investigating methods to improve the physician-family therapeutic relationship through effective communication and techniques to empower clinicians with the tools to successfully complete challenging communication encounters. Dr. Wolfe completed her Masters in education at George Washington University, with a focus on qualitative methodology. She is a Senior VitalTalk facilitator and course directs multiple courses annual teaching clinicians best-practice communication techniques. She has a current institutional K12 investigating the role of clinician stress on communicating life altering news to families using mixed methodology. Her expertise is focused on teaching, mentoring and developing trainees' communication skills.
