Dr. Emily Hsu is a critical care pharmacist at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2020 at UCSF School of Pharmacy, where she completed her research thesis on the efficacy of locally delivered anti-estrogen in preventing tumorigenesis in a rodent breast cancer model, which won the Dean’s Pharmaceutical Sciences Pathway Project Award. She then completed her PGY1 Acute Care Residency and PGY2 Critical Care Residency at UC Davis Medical Center. Following the completion of her residency training, she ventured out to the Pacific Northwest and joined the critical care pharmacy team at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center where she provides medication expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team in the medical ICU, cardiac ICU, and neuro ICU. She is also involved in precepting pharmacy students and residents. Outside of work, Dr. Hsu enjoys practicing yoga, crocheting, and exploring the great outdoors.
