Dr. Chisom Okezue, MD is a graduate of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) at The George Washington University, Washington D.C. Prior to his medical education, he obtained a degree in Biological Sciences suma cum laude at CUNY - The City University of New York, and spent time as a neuropathology research lab manager at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and a college biology TA for a few years. His research focus was on simulating memory consolidation in the hippocampal neurocircuitry using mice models, in order to elucidate pathobiology of Alzheimer's Dementia. Currently, he is an internal medicine resident at New York Medical College/Westchester Medical Center, New York. He describes himself as a POCUS enthusiast and plans to complete a PCCM fellowship after this residency.
