Jesse Honig, MD is a second-year pediatric resident training at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in Queens, NY. He completed medical school at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, where his research included multiple studies on frailty in neurosurgical ICU patients. He graduated with distinction with a major in neuroscience from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where he conducted research at the Brain Imaging and Analysis Center on the effects of aging on cognition. Jesse spent a year working at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism through the NIH Postbac IRTA program conducting research on the effects of alcohol on brain structure and connectivity. In 2012, Jesse was named an Intel Science Talent Search Semifinalist for his research on the effects of aging on memory storage and connectivity. After residency, Jesse plans to apply for a fellowship in pediatric critical care.
