Mary Elizabeth (Mimi) Richert grew up in Billings, Montana and attended Northwestern University, majoring in Biomedical Engineering. She attended medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine where she developed her interest in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. She stayed at the University of Maryland for Internal Medicine residency before pursuing Critical Care Medicine fellowship at the National Institutes of Health.She further completed her Pulmonary Medicine training at the University of Colorado. She is interested in health services research and allocation of resources surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
