Dr. Allison Henning is a pediatric critical care fellow at Stanford Children's Hospital. After completing combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residencies at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, she has focused her research on critical areas of healthcare preparedness and crisis management. Dr. Henning's work centers on mass casualty events, disaster readiness, and enhancing ICU resilience during patient surge situations. Her background in biomedical engineering and additional training in Disaster Science and Wilderness and Austere Medicine uniquely positions her to address the complex challenges of critical care management during natural disasters and mass casualty incidents. Dr. Henning's research aims to improve healthcare systems' ability to respond effectively to unexpected patient influxes, contributing to the development of more robust and adaptable intensive care units
