Dr. Jasmyne Williams is a distinguished critical care provider with over a decade of nursing and advanced practice leadership experience. She serves as the Lead Nurse Practitioner for both the Serious Communicable Disease Program (SCDU) and the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Emory University Hospital. In these roles, she is pivotal in advancing clinical excellence, patient care, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Dr. Williams began her career at Emory University Hospital in 2016 as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. Her commitment to high-quality care and team leadership earned her a transition to the Emory Critical Care Center (ECCC) in 2021, where her expertise in critical care and infectious diseases became integral to managing complex and high-risk patient populations.
She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and is dual board-certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC). Dr. Williams is recognized for implementing evidence-based practices, leading interdisciplinary teams, and mentoring the next generation of healthcare providers.
A passionate educator, Dr. Williams mentors advanced practice providers and nursing students, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning. As an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), she engages in professional initiatives to remain at the forefront of critical care advancements.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Williams is an advocate for health equity, mentors underrepresented healthcare students, and explores global health initiatives through international travel.
