Boys Town National Research Hospital
Mohan Ram Mysore, MD, FCCM is a Pediatric Intensivist and is the Medical Director of Pediatric Critical Care at Boys Town National Research Hospital (BTNRH) in Omaha, Nebraska. He originally trained in India at the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India and after 5 years working in New Delhi, immigrated to the US in 1987. He completed a Pediatric Residency at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics in 1991 followed by a PCCM Fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical School/Children's Medical Center in Dallas, Texas completed in 1994. After 3 years as Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI, he moved to Omaha, Nebraska and has been here ever since.
From 1997 to 2018, Dr. Mysore worked at the Children's Hospital in Omaha and was Professor of Pediatrics at UNMC College of Medicine since 2009 and Division Chief for Pediatric Critical Care till 2018 and Medical Director of the PICU at Children's and at the Nebraska Medical Center during his tenure at Children's/UNMC. In 2019, Dr. Mysore moved to BTNRH to set up a new PICU to serve a newly developed Neuroscience Center at BTNRH.
His interests include Medical Education and Global Health. He is one of the original 7 Developers of the PFCCS Course and has taught the course at many centers in the US and overseas. He also developed SCCM's online educational site - RICU. He is active on several SCCM committees.
