Katherine Hickey, MD is a second year fellow in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital. She completed her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University, medical training at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson and pediatrics residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell. She is interested in understanding why viral illness causes some children to require ICU level of care, while others can be managed outpatient. In fellowship, she investigated this topic using immunophenotyping and whole exome sequencing.
