Dr. Fundora began his professional career in marketing, finance, and investment banking. After leveraging his skills to support international medical missions, he decided to pursue a career in medicine. His training focused on caring for children with congenital heart disease and after completing his training at Boston Children’s Hospital, he joined the faculty at Emory School of Medicine. Dr. Fundora’s research is focused on optimizing healthcare delivery and healthcare workforce management. His research has been supported by the National Institute of Health, National Science Foundation, and Emory University. In partnership with The Georgia Institute of Technology, Dr. Fundora continues to lead his work in advancing cutting edge research, and developing new technologies focused on optimizing workload in the ICU.
