Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia
Robert B. Lindell, MD is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and an attending physician in the pediatric intensive care unit at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Lindell's NIH-funded research program aims to advance precision medicine for pediatric sepsis by uncovering mechanisms of immune dysregulation that can be targeted with translational immunotherapeutics. Drawing on insights from genetic inborn errors of immunity, which provide a lens to interpret the complex immunopathology of sepsis, his work seeks to identify actionable targets for intervention. By integrating multi-omics approaches with machine learning, Dr. Lindell is working to transform the heterogeneity of sepsis into actionable insights, paving the way for rapid diagnostic tools and therapeutic strategies personalized to individual patients.
