Dr. Siddiqui graduated from Sindh Medical College in 2006 and completed his pediatric residency at Aga Khan University in 2012, followed by a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine fellowship in 2014. He worked at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC), Riyadh, from 2015 to 2018, before returning to Aga Khan University as an Assistant Professor and pediatric intensivist.
Dr. Siddiqui holds an FCPS in pediatric medicine from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) and a European board certification in Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine (EPIC) from ESPNIC. He is affiliated with the Society of Critical Care Medicine, ESPNIC, CPSP, Pakistan Pediatric Association, and American Heart Association. He completed an advanced clinical fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, in 2020.
In his teaching roles, Dr. Siddiqui has served as a consultant and instructor for the Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support (PFCCS) course by SCCM and the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course by the American Heart Association. He has received several accolades, including Best Resident in 2009 and Research Excellence awards in 2011 and 2012 at Aga Khan University. He completed the Global Clinical Scholar Research Training program from Harvard Medical School in 2022.
His research interests include bedside ultrasonography, quality and safety in pediatric critical care, simulation in medical education, and artificial intelligence in healthcare, global child health particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
