Kate Steffen, MD, MHS
Dr. Steffen completed her medical training at the University of Iowa, followed by residency and fellowship training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. During fellowship, she received her Master of Health Sciences (Clinical Research) from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She developed an interest in Dissemination and Implementation research as an Instructor at Washington University and has continued this work now as a Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford University. She completed a K12 program in Implementation Science Research through the NHLBI. Her research focuses on using implementation science methods to promote use of evidence-based guidelines and to optimize care provided in the Pediatric ICU.
