Dr. Ernestine Faye Tan is a second-year resident physician in Internal Medicine at One Brooklyn Health - Interfaith Medical Center, with a focused interest in Critical Care Medicine. Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Tan’s journey into medicine has been shaped by a deep sense of purpose and commitment to serving others. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and her Doctor of Medicine degree from the prestigious University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines.
Dr. Tan’s dedication to critical care has been a cornerstone of her career. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she demonstrated exceptional leadership as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at Manila Doctors Hospital, where she assumed clinical, administrative, and leadership responsibilities. Her role in managing critically ill patients during the peak of the pandemic honed her skills in high-acuity care, providing her with invaluable experience that solidified her interest in Critical Care Medicine.
Currently, Dr. Tan is pursuing her residency training in Brooklyn, New York, where she continues to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. With aspirations of furthering her expertise, she is on track to pursue a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine.
