Susan Hamblin, PharmD, BCCCP, FCCM is an Assistant Professor at Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy with practice sites in the Burn Unit and in the multidisciplinary Brain Injury Clinic at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Hamblin has been practicing in clinical pharmacy with a focus in critical care/trauma for 15 years. She completed her first year of residency training at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN, followed by her PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Greenville Memorial Medical Center in Greenville, SC. She holds Board Certification in Critical Care Pharmacy. Her research interests include traumatic brain injury, venous thromboembolic prophylaxis, intrapleural alteplase, and analgesia. She has served as a PGY1 Residency Coordinator and PGY2 Critical Care Residency Program Director during her career, and she currently works as the Lipscomb Coordinator for the Vanderbilt-Lipscomb Critical Care Fellowship training program affiliated with the Critical Illness, Brain Dysfunction, and Survivorship (CIBS) Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Hamblin is actively involved in the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), American Burn Association (ABA), and Tennessee Society of Health-System Pharmacy (TSHP). She also serves on the editorial board for Critical Care Medicine.
