Iman Nizami, MD is a third-year pediatric critical care fellow at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She received her medical degree from the Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan, then completed her pediatrics residency at Western Michigan University. She will be starting a pediatric palliative care fellowship at Nemours Children’s Hospital this July, and ultimately plans to pursue a dual appointment as both a pediatric intensivist and pediatric palliative care physician. She is currently working on a quality improvement project to increase the proportion of huddles done prior to withdrawal of life sustaining therapies in the PICU. Her research interests include improving the processes as well as provider comfort with withdrawal of life sustaining therapies in pediatric patients through quality improvement and qualitative research.
