Amanda McNicholas DNP, MBA, CRNP is the Vice President (VP), Chief Advanced Practice Provider Officer for Tower Health. She began her Tower Health career at in 2005 as a certified registered nurse practitioner (CRNP) in trauma services at Reading Hospital. In 2008, she became the Director of Advanced Practice for Trauma, Acute Care Surgery and Critical Care.
In 2018, Amanda became the VP, Chief Advanced Practice Provider for Tower Health where she serves as an advocate for all Advanced Practice Provider (APP) roles while ensuring that APPs are working to the full extent of licensure across the organization.
Prior to her career at Tower Health, Amanda worked as an RN at Temple University Hospital as well as a CRNP at Temple Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Amanda obtained a Master of Science in Nursing, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a Master of Science in Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Temple University. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2018 and Master of Business Administration in 2021 from West Chester University. In 2020, Amanda completed the Intermountain Healthcare Delivery Institute Advanced Training Program in Clinical Quality Improvement.
Amanda is an active member of the Tower Health Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council and serves on the Towe Health Providers Board. She continues to practice as a Trauma Surgery and Critical Care Nurse Practitioner.
