Khrizna B. Chong, MSN, RN, CNS is a Clinical Nurse Specialist at UC San Diego Health, with over 22 years of experience caring for critical care patients in leading academic centers, including Stanford, the University of Michigan, and UCLA. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Physiological Sciences with a minor in Gerontology from UCLA and completed her core nursing education at UC San Francisco. Since joining UC San Diego Health in 2011, Khrizna has demonstrated exceptional dedication in multiple capacities, starting as a CVICU critical care nurse and then serving as Cardiovascular Clinical Nurse Specialist. Recently, she transitioned to the Clinical Nurse Specialist role within the Center for Transplantation. In this capacity, she plays a pivotal part in supporting clinical processes, education, and research for healthcare professionals caring for patients undergoing solid organ transplants.
Khrizna’s passion lies in fostering collaboration and innovation to enhance patient care. She is deeply committed to creating environments that empower clinicians to deliver compassionate, human-centered care to critically ill patients.
The research Khrizna presents today marks her first qualitative study and her debut as a presenter at the SCCM Congress, reflecting her commitment to advancing nursing science and improving outcomes for patients and families.
