Casey Miller is a Board Certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a passion for Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support, and Palliative Care. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Louisiana Tech University in 2005, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama in 2011, and Master of Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 2012 and a post-master’s Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate in 2021.
Casey has diverse nursing experience as a registered nurse including dialysis, hospice, float pool, and cardiology prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. Since completing her nurse practitioner degree, she has worked predominantly in Mechanical Circulatory Support Device patients. She has worked at institutions such as Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Stanford Hospital and Clinics, and Kaiser Permanente. Casey began working for Emory Healthcare in February of 2020 and is currently the ECMO Program Director and Lead APP for Cardiothoracic Surgery.
