LT Kimberly Rivera is a third year Internal Medicine resident at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. Upon graduation, she commissioned into the United States Navy Medical Corps and attended San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Caguas, Puerto Rico where she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree in 2020. After completing a Transitional Year internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego, she served as the General Medical Officer onboard USS RUSHMORE (LSD-47) for two years, where her duties included being the primary provider for over 300 Sailors and 400 Marines during deployments in the across Pacific area of operation. LT Rivera is in her final year of her Internal Medicine residency and has been selected for an Infectious Diseases fellowship at Naval Medical Center San Diego.
