Rebecca L. Wolff, DO is a first year internal medicine resident at Summa Health in Akron, Ohio. As a recent graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Erie Campus, Rebecca is thrilled to return to Ohio for her residency.
Rebecca previously served as the President of the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA). SOMA is the nation's largest student-led network of osteopathic medical students serving over 30,000 medical students. As an American Osteopathic Association affiliate, SOMA has direct representation to the AOA. Additionally, she served on the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA) Board of Trustees. There she worked alongside POMA leadership to develop a CME series targeted toward POMA members on Substance Use Disorder. She also advocated for the development of POMAxSketchyMedicine which offers a scholarship for Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical students to receive this board review product for a 2-year time period.
Dr. Wolff is looking forward to continuing to develop her skills as a new resident and life-long learner, as well as to continue her work in advocacy both for patients and physicians.
