Dr. Abdullah Al-Mamun is an interdisciplinary health outcomes data science researcher in training. He received his PhD in Computing and Information Sciences from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, UK. He completed two postdoctoral fellowships in Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases in the Department of Population Medicine & Diagnostic Sciences at Cornell University and in the Yale School of Public Health at Yale University. Currently, he leads a research lab titled ‘HealBig- Health Outcomes and BigData Informatics’. HealBig mainly focuses on addressing complex data problems in health outcomes and services, and public health related research domains. HIs recent research projects are mainly in three areas: Developing cutting edge tools to understand the kidney impairment among diabetes and heart failure patients, early diagnosis of rare diseases, and understanding polysubstance use and related mental health disorders.
