Dr. Fuchsia Howard is an Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia's School of Nursing. Her research focuses on the health service and psychosocial needs of survivors of life-threatening illnesses, particularly cancer and critical illness. Her research program includes an integrative knowledge translation and patient-oriented thread of co-designing with patients and clinicians, engaging ways of creating and sharing evidence, including digital and arts-based innovations. By emphasizing patient and family perspectives, Dr. Howard aims to enhance the accessibility and quality of healthcare services and supports, addressing the long-term burden of illness.
Kelsey Lynch, MSC, CGC is a Research Manager at the Unviersity of British Columbia's School of Nursing and a Certified Genetic Counselor. She has worked clinically in the field of hereditary cancer. She has managed programs of research in the areas of premature coronary artery disease, intimate partner violence, health equity in emergecy medicine and critical illness survival. She is pleased to be presenting on behalf of Dr. Fuchsia Howard.
