Katarzyna Golec, MD FAAB is a dedicated pediatrician currently completing her Pediatric Critical Care fellowship at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Her journey in medicine began at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Golec demonstrated a strong commitment to learning and clinical excellence, and she quickly developed a passion for pediatrics, especially in high-acuity, intensive care settings.
Her decision to specialize in Pediatric Critical Care was driven by her desire to make a significant difference in the lives of critically ill children and their families. She is particularly focused on improving operational efficiency within Pediatric Critical Care Units (PICUs), recognizing that optimized systems can directly enhance patient outcomes and family experiences during challenging times. Her goal is to contribute in the way pediatric critical care is delivered, ensuring that resources are maximized and every child receives the highest quality of care.
