Thulfiqar Ali Aljashamy, M.D., is a Chief Resident (PGY-3) in the Internal Medicine program at HCA Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida, where he is completing his residency. Dr. Aljashamy earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from California State University-Los Angeles. A POCUS Champion at Oak Hill Hospital, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) curriculum for the Internal Medicine residency program, leading training sessions and research to evaluate its effectiveness in resident education. Additionally, he serves as a GME representative and Quality Improvement Project Leader, spearheading initiatives to enhance resident education and patient care. Dr. Aljashamy is deeply committed to advancing medical knowledge through research, including publications and presentations in critical care, cardiology, and pulmonary medicine. Fluent in English, Arabic, and proficient in American Sign Language, he is passionate about mentorship, teaching, and fostering wellness in the medical community.
